Changing Seasons

After what felt like the coldest and longest winter imaginable, Spring has finally arrived with a much-welcome bang in New York. As I scan through the photos in this post - most of which were taken in Central Park - it's incredible to see how the scenes have changed over the months. And while each season has been fun in its own way, seeing the city's streets scattered with cherry blossoms will forever hold a special pink spot in my heart.

The Apartment by The Line

It's not every day that you find yourself presented with the opportunity to snoop around an incredibly beautiful apartment in SoHo. However, last Wednesday that's just how I spent a perfect hour of my afternoon. The stunning space I visited is located on Greene Street and is home to a very exciting and unique project.

Created by the talented Vanessa Traina and Morgan Wendelborn, The Line is an online boutique that sells high-end fashion labels and furniture. More recently, however, their online store extended into a dreamy SoHo offline space.

The Apartment by The Line is unlike anything I've ever come across before. Not only is this apartment truly inspiring from an interior design perspective, but it also happens to be shoppable.

Everything that you see in the apartment is available to purchase, from the shoes in bedroom to the pictures hanging on the wall. Even the toothpaste on the bathroom cabinet is up for sale. This place is truly unique and very cool.

On top of being a showroom and a store, The Apartment also plays host to workshops, dinners, screenings and talks. If you're lucky enough to be living nearby, keep an eye out for upcoming events.

The Apartment by The Line is open Wednesdays noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment.

Location:
76 Greene Street
3rd Floor
New York City, NY 10012

Doggy Halloween in NY..

Yes, you read the title right. This blog post is coming to you from NY.. and it features dogs in Halloween costumes.

Moving to NY has been a huge dream of mine for quite some time, and a few weeks ago it became a very exciting reality. The past few weeks have been a surreal and hectic blur of apartment hunting, Ikea trips, assembling furniture and learning how to find my way around this amazing city (Google Maps is my savior!).

In between all of the chaos, I was especially excited to experience New York in the Fall. The weather in October was absolutely perfect - lots of sunshine and the loveliest warm weather. This, mixed with the leaves changing colour, made for the most stunning scenes in Central Park.

Of course, being in New York in October also meant that I got to experience Halloween here... and it did not disappoint.

Cue the 24th Annual Halloween Dog Parade in Tompkins Square Park - the ultimate in dog fashion events.

Brace yourselves....
